“Blessed is he that readeth, and they that hear the words of this prophecy, and keep those things which are written therein: For the time is at hand.”
Revelation 1:3
The book of Revelation was transmitted from God to Christ, to the Angel, to John, then to the churches: And there is a blessing pronounced (verse 3) to those who read it, and to those who hear it, and to those who keep those things which are written therein. Revelation means to unveil or uncover.
The purpose is to show ; make known; events from John’s day into all eternity. We are living in prophetic days, and this book is at the forefront of all that is taking place in these last days. Notice the last part of this verse (verse 3) declares: “The time is at hand.”
God does not want us to be ignorant of the times we are living in. Some want to bury themselves in worldly affairs and pretend all is well. But they will be taken by shock and awe when these events are being manifested. God gave us the revelation so that we could be prepared for the times when Jesus is about to return, and be ready.
He warned us to watch and pray always, that you may be worthy to escape all these things that shall come to pass, and to stand before the Son of Man ( St. Luke 21:36). I therefore, encourage you; be not dismayed, but rather, look up, for our redemption draweth nigh.
Love,
Pastor Larry
